It started with us getting up and heading to the Myrtle Beach State park by 6am, so we could see this:

We walked a bit, then decided it was time for breakfast. We thought we'd try a new place, so we drove down 17 business until we reached Mammy's Kitchen. Kyle had eggs, bacon, pancakes & hash browns, and I had the French toast. It was all delicious and cheap! (I'll make another blog for our dining reviews & will include this one).
Full of good food, and sleepy, we headed home for a quick nap, but we had to leave by 10:00 to go to the Hibiscus Spa at the Marriott Grand Dunes. (By the way, this hotel is really nice! Beautiful on the inside, and we know some great people who work there.) First, you check in, and they lead you to the mens or womens locker rooms. You are given your own key to your locker, which has a pair of slippers and a robe. There are full showers int here (with all the necessities) and a sauna & steam room. Once you're done changing, you can go have a seat in a relaxation room. They serve hot tea, iced water, fruit, trail mix, & some crackers. The relaxation rooms are painted in a dark sea foam color, with dark trim, and have some comfy furniture in there. They keep the lights low, have candles lit, and the music is soft. After a while, the therapist will come to get you. (This spa is by far the nicest we've been to, and Kyle and I have had massages at Two Bunch Palms, which is a place that Hollywood celebrities go to for spa treatments. It was nice, but the Hibiscus Spa beat it, hands down.) Kyle had an 80 minute massage, and had planned for a 50 minute prenatal massage for me, along with a manicure & pedicure. I couldn't help but get a little choked up that he would think to do such a sweet thing for me.
Once we were done at the spa, we needed some lunch! We decided to grab a salad at the Carolina Roadhouse. They were wonderful, as usual, and HUGE! By then, we were ready to be home for a bit, so we headed home & watched a movie (or should I say, dozed through a movie.) But we weren't going to be home long, because we planned on dinner at 8.
Kyle took us to Barefoot Landing to eat at the Fire Island Grille. I wont' waste much time here giving it a review, so I'll just tell you to not waste your time with this restaurant. While we were waiting to eat, Kyle took us to the Build A Bear so we could get Conner his first material possession (I say gift, but Kyle says we gave him the gift of life first). We picked out a yellow lab, and dressed him in a Hawaiian shirt & shorts. His name is Waggs and he is adorable. After dinner, we watched the fireworks & had some ice cream.
It was a long day, but one I definitely won't forget. I'm so blessed to have a husband like Kyle, and Conner is certainly a lucky boy to have him for a dad.
